Gilda Martin, FNP was born in Frankfurt, Germany, where her father was stationed in the Army. She traveled for the first nine years of her life and then settled in San Antonio, Texas. She has been married for 32 years and raised four children in the Dallas area.
Gilda has been a registered nurse since 1988, starting in pediatrics. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her last position was in home health caring for high acuity intensive care pediatric patients. She has also worked with adults in intensive care, post-anesthesia care units, and geriatrics. Each of those roles asked her to work independently and make decisions based on the immediate needs of her patients.
Gilda earned her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at United States University in San Diego, California in April of 2021, graduating With Distinction at the top of her class. Direct Primary Care gives her the time to fully accommodate her patients while keeping care affordable, and the room to build real relationships.
