Direct Primary Care covers your everyday medical needs: unlimited office visits, direct access to your provider by phone, text, and email, and no copays. It is not designed to cover hospital stays, ER visits, or surgery.

Catastrophic coverage is strongly recommended, though not required, for Direct Primary Care members. If you already have a low monthly premium plan, keep it. The greatest savings usually come from pairing your Gem MD membership with a low-premium plan or a health-sharing plan like Sedera.

We have partnered with Sedera Health Share to offer exclusive, low-premium catastrophic coverage to Gem MD patients. Catastrophic coverage helps with the hefty medical bills that come from hospital stays, ER visits, and surgery.

Because our patients are already being seen and cared for by quality health professionals at Gem MD, Sedera has agreed to offer catastrophic coverage at a highly discounted rate. This rate is available exclusively to patients enrolled in our Direct Primary Care clinic.
